I am honored and humbled to have been elected as President of the Indiana Latino Expo (ILE), an organization that has long been a beacon of opportunity, empowerment, and unity for the Latino community in Indiana. As we navigate these uncertain times, we are committed to ensuring that the Indiana Latino Expo continues thriving, evolving, and serving as a catalyst for progress and inclusivity.

We want to extend my sincere gratitude to Andy Nińo for his leadership and dedication as President. His hard work and commitment have strengthened the Indiana Latino Expo and paved the way for continued success. Thank you, Andy, for your contribution to our community.

Our mission remains steadfast—to provide access to vital resources, education, health, and economic opportunities while celebrating the rich diversity of our Latino culture. However, now is the time to think boldly and embrace innovative ideas that will propel us into the future. We must be agile, adaptive, and forward-thinking, leveraging technology, strategic partnerships, and creative solutions to ensure that our impact reaches every corner of our community.

We firmly believe that progress is built on action, and action requires dedication. Together, with our incredible team, partners, and supporters, we will put in the hard work necessary to expand our reach, amplify our voice, and strengthen the foundation upon which this organization stands. Our commitment to our core values—equity, integrity, collaboration, and empowerment—will guide every step we take as we chart a new path forward.

Additionally, I am excited to work alongside our new executive board members, whose leadership, passion, and expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of the Indiana Latino Expo. Together, we will be successful in creating innovative programs, expanding community outreach, and building sustainable partnerships that empower and uplift our community. Their fresh perspectives and dedication will help us break new ground while staying true to our mission and values.

The Indiana Latino Expo is more than just an event—it is a movement, a platform, and a family. And as we look ahead, we invite each of you to join us in this journey. Whether through participation, volunteering, sponsorship, or advocacy, your support is invaluable in shaping the future of our community.

Together, we will embrace innovation while honoring our traditions, and we will continue uplifting, inspiring, and creating opportunities for all. The future is bright, and we are excited for what we will accomplish as we move forward—united, resilient, and stronger than ever.

Today, we are also saddened to announce that Zicri Williams has decided to step down as the Executive Director of ILE. We want to thank her for her service and dedication to the organization and we wish her nothing but the best on her new endeavor. Zicri will always be part of the ILE family, and we are grateful for all that she has done over the last 3 years in growing the organization. We will be seeking to identify a new Executive Director in the upcoming months. In the meantime, Carolina Castoreno and Bianca Romo will help with the day-to-day operations.
